DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations secures USD 4.6 Million investment

DroneAcharya Completes BVLOS Medical Deliveries Using Drones

Closing their pre- seed round at $4.6 Million (INR 35.7 Cr.), Pune – based drone startup, DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations is the only Indian startup till date to have raised this amount. It is a drone service provider, manufacturer, and DGCA – approved remote pilot training organization.

The Indian government has aided the growth of the drone industry in India by enacting supportive regulations and providing subsidies. Drone makers have been urged to develop more drones in India as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make in India drive. Apart from the Prime Minister, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Civil Aviation Minister Jyothiraditya Scindia have all praised and elevated the potential influence of drones in today’s businesses.

“India’s drone business has enormous potential for creating jobs. Through our application-based courses, we are attempting to bridge the gap between the need and supply of qualified Drone pilots and GIS personnel. We are also aiming to expand globally, mainly targeting the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa,” says Prateek Srivastava, the company’s founder and CEO.

The successful authorization from the DGCA to undertake Drone Pilot Training locally within Pune was a huge development for DroneAcharya in 2022. Under the New Drone Rules 2021, it is one of the first Remote Pilot Training Organizations in Maharashtra. They’ve also helped distribute medical supplies using drones as part of the Telangana government’s Medicine From The Sky initiative, in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals.

DroneAcharya’s offerings also include drone surveying for mapping, 3D modelling, drone logistics, surveillance and drone data processing. Apart from this, they have been focusing majorly on talent building for the Drone industry, by providing training courses for all age groups.
