Christmas comes early to MasterCard users.
Christmas has come early if you’re a MasterCard user with an Apple Pay-ready device – you can take advantage of free travel around London.
The Fare Free Mondays promotion, which aims to encourage public transport users to adopt mobile payments, only applies on the first day of each week and runs until December 14.
Users are covered on tube, train, bus and DLR journeys up to the value of £27.90 for the next four Mondays.
Simply touch in and out of the capital’s transport barriers with your iPhone orApple Watch using Mastercard with Apple Pay and your ride will be free.
Apple Pay has been slow to gain traction in the UK, but there are signs that things are picking up. Barclays is the only major bank yet to support the service on this side of the Atlantic.
